Paranoia is at all-time high thanks to the 2019 novel coronavirus outbreak, with every cough threatening to spark mass hysteria and land you a ticket straight to quarantine.

That’s pretty much what happened to Taiwan-based Malaysian singer-songwriter Michael Wong (better known as Guang Liang). Earlier this week, the 49-year-old shared a Facebook post recounting his recent 'adventure' while travelling to Taipei from his hometown, Ipoh.

“I wore a mask on the plane throughout the entire flight, and when I accidentally choked on a rice cracker that the air stewardess had offered me, I coughed several times,” he wrote. “I think the passengers around me must have been scared to death, haha!”
