Mario Ho, the son of casino tycoon Stanley Ho, met with reporters outside the Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital on October 27 to give his first interview as a father.

The 25-year-old, who serves as the Chief Marketing Officer of a Chinese gaming company, welcomed a baby boy named Ronaldo into the world with his Chinese supermodel wife Ming Xi on October 22. Mario was clearly overwhelmed with joy as he spoke to the press, gushing that being a dad was a “wonderful” feeling. He also confirmed that Stanley has already met his first grandchild, and that he is very happy as well.

When asked what push present he plans to get for his wife, Mario admitted that while it is not convenient to talk about it, he “will definitely not hold back” when it comes to her gift. “It’ll be something that she likes, and also something that the baby can use in the future,” he said, adding that he is unsure when Ming Xi will be discharged from the hospital as she needs to rest and do her confinement.

Mario’s mother and Stanley’s fourth wife, businesswoman Angela Leong, previously stated that she hopes for her son to have at least three children, a wish Mario shares as well. “I hope to have at least three more children because I myself enjoyed growing up with a lot of brothers and sisters, so I want Ronaldo to have that same experience as well,” he explained. “But I don’t know if my wife will be happy to hear that because it’s hard work!”

Mario and Ming Xi announced their marriage with Weibo posts in July this year, two months after a spectacular engagement that involved 99,999 roses and over a thousand friends and family members as witnesses. Ming Xi sparked pregnancy rumours with her appearance at the Cannes Film Festival in May, but the couple did not comment on the matter until the birth of their child.
