Malaysian Model Mandy Lieu Got A S$52mil ‘Break-Up Fee’ From Her Billionaire Ex; Buys S$49.8mil UK Estate
She ended things with Macau tycoon Alvin Chau ‘cos he didn’t want to leave his wife for her.
Most people only end up with broken hearts after ending a relationship, but for Malaysian-American model-actress Mandy Lieu, she ended up a multimillionaire, and, more recently, became the owner of a sprawling English estate.
In 2014, Mandy began an affair with Macau billionaire tycoon Alvin Chau, the chairman of junket operator Suncity Group, while the latter was still married to entrepreneur Heidi Chan. Mandy and Alvin had two daughters and one son within five years, but she decided to end things late last year when she realised he wasn’t going to leave his wife for her. Heidi has two daughters with Alvin and is also stepmother to his eldest son from a previous marriage.
