Korean actor Lee Min Ho, who entered the military in May 2017 for his mandatory military service, has officially been discharged from the army.

According to reports, Min Ho had been involved in a serious car accident in 2006 while he was on holiday with his friends. As a result, he had to be hospitalised for six months. He also underwent surgery where screws were inserted into his right knee to stabilise it. In 2009, he underwent another proedure to extract the screws.

In 2011, while he was filming City Hunter, Min Ho was involved in another car accident. As a result, when he enlisted, he was found to be unfit for active duty. He then served as a public service officer for his military service instead.

The actor was officially discharged yesterday (April 25), where he was welcomed by hundreds of fans, as well as a number of media outlets, who had gathered outside the office to catch the first glimpse of him.

The actor waved and bowed repeatedly to those who had gathered to welcome him back.

Korean actor Ji Chang Wook, who is currently serving his mandatory military service will be discharged on April 27. The actor has been travelling the country as one of the actors in the military musical, Shinheung Military Academy.
