Kelly Poon Isn’t Engaged, She’s Married

Last night (Feb 24), Kelly Poon had everyone assuming she's engaged when she posted a photo of her holding hands with a mystery man and wearing a diamond ring on her ring finger.

But as it turns out, the 36-year-old isn’t engaged — she’s married.

Kelly has since confirmed the good news through her agent, Warner Music Singapore. In it, she shared, “I registered my marriage yesterday. I wanted to share the good news on my own terms, which is why I uploaded that photo. Nobody except for my mum and younger sister knew about it, but my photo ended up causing a buzz online. My friends couldn’t believe it either!”

Her husband is Taiwanese music producer Roger Yo, whom she met through work. The 37-year-old has worked with many big names in music, including Taiwanese singer A-Lin. He is credited as the composer for A-Lin's hit song ‘Give Me A Reason To Forget’.
Kelly revealed that she and Roger have known each other for a long time, and that they were introduced by her label. Although she has always gotten along well with him, they only started dating about a year ago.

A quick scroll through Kelly's IG would reveal that the singer has actually posted a number of photos with Roger from their travels with friends. Though they've always been careful to not post photos of just the two of them.
On her new status as a married woman, Kelly said: “It’s only been a day since I officially became Mrs Yo and it doesn’t feel quite real yet. I think I’ll need some time to get used to it.”
