Kelly Chen address rumours of using a surrogate mother

During a recent interview, Hong Kong singer-actress Kelly Chen was asked about a “ridiculous” rumour that had popped up after she had given birth to her son, Chace, in 2009.

At that time, netizens had zeroed in on the fact that the singer-actress had maintained her slim figure, even after giving birth and spread rumours that Kelly had used a surrogate mother. Once the rumours reached the ears of Kelly, she immediately denied it.

However, she was asked yet again about the rumours during a recent interview, causing the 45-year-old to exclaim, “This is so strange, I’m really going crazy!”.

She then wondered how such a rumour could come about, and replied, “Do you want me to remove my pants and show you the cut, then?”.

The mother-of-two shared that she had thought that the rumour would quickly die out, and that she did not expect for it to spread to such an extent, marvelling that it was indeed possible to craft something out of absolutely nothing.

When asked if there were any changes to her body after giving birth, Kelly revealed, “My stomach’s a little different now. As the skin is thinner, there are creases on it.”

She then professed that despite the changes to her body, she has no regrets about giving birth. “I don’t care if I gain weight. Kids are so important, even if I put on a lot of weight, there’s no way around it.”

Kelly tied the knot with her non-celeb husband, Alex Lau in 2008. She gave birth to her eldest son, Chace in 2009, and second son Riley in 2012.
