Karena Lam encourages daughters’ love of fashion and beauty

Karena Lam attended a promotional event for a beauty brand in Hong Kong on May 30, where she admitted that she’s someone who personally doesn’t enjoy putting on makeup.

“I’m usually quite busy taking care of my daughters, so I only have about 15 to 20 minutes to get ready,” she explained, adding that her girls are more interested in fashion and beauty than she is. “They’ve been picking their own outfits and secretly using my cosmetics from the time they were 3 years old, but I’m okay with that. In fact, I encourage this kind of exploration.”

When someone brought up her upcoming 9th wedding anniversary in June, the actress appeared shocked and exclaimed, “I totally forgot about it! We rarely celebrate special occasions because we believe that every day should be a special day.” That said, she revealed that it’s usually her husband who does the romantic things, but declared that she will start to think about how she can surprise him in return as well.

Karena was then asked about the rumours that she is set to release a new song with singer Juno Mak, to which she responded, “I don’t think I can talk about this yet, you’d better ask Juno yourself. I personally think it’s a very good song, but because it’s been over a decade since I last sang, I’m feeling quite nervous about stepping into a recording studio again.”
