After years of trying for a second child, celeb Jordan Chan and Cherrie Ying have finally managed to conceive again.
The Hong Kong singer made the surprise announcement during his concert in Taipei on December 7. “We just found out last month,” he declared. “Today, (Cherrie) is exactly three months pregnant.” Adding that they are still unsure of the baby’s gender, Jordan thanked his wife, who was seated in the audience, and dedicated the song ‘Du Jia Ji Yi’ to her.
Although Jordan has yet to share more details of Cherrie’s pregnancy, Taiwanese reports shared that she is likely to be due in early June.
There have been rumours of Cherrie being pregnant for almost a year, although they have proven to be false every time. The couple’s earnest wish of giving their first child, Jasper, a younger sibling is well-known as they have spoken about it multiple times over the years. As such, words of congratulations were showered on them after the announcement, with some netizens sharing that they now have renewed hope that conceiving a child at a later age is not an impossible dream. Cherrie turned 36 in June.
Jasper was also in the audience, and shouted a hearty ‘I love you’ to his dad when the camera was focused on him. Unaffected by the attention that was on him, Jasper then went on to banter with his dad for a few minutes. This tickled those in the audience greatly. After the concert, clips that were uploaded online had netizens remarking that they hope to see Jasper on a reality show with his dad again. The father-son pair previously starred on Where Are We Going, Dad? and was extremely well-received.
