Taiwanese actor Jerry Yan’s packed schedule often sees him shuttling from one work schedule to another, leaving the actor little time to spend in his own home.
However, there was some unusual activity spotted at the 41-year-old’s Songshan abode in Taipei recently as an unnamed man intruded into his house, causing the anti-burglary alarm to go off. When security personnel reached Jerry’s house, they didn’t spot anyone on the premises.
As Jerry was busy with work, he enlisted his mother’s help to report the matter to the police, who then retrieved CCTV footage and discovered the identity of the man. When arrested by the police, the man shared that he is Jerry’s former manager, and holds a pair of keys to his house because of that.
He explained that he wanted to know how Jerry was doing recently, and therefore decided to enter the actor’s house. However, when he heard the alarm, he hurriedly ran away.
Jerry’s former manager has reportedly refused to settle the matter and instead chose to let the matter be escalated to the prosecutor’s office. The prosecution is said to be considering charging the man for intrusion, and is expected to be formally charged in court soon.
