Taiwanese actors Jasper Liu, Puff Kuo and more attended a press conference to promote their new television show Before We Get Married in Taipei on May 28. The series is adapted from the novel of the same title, and tells the story of two friends who start to fall for each other as their respective wedding days to different people approach.
Jasper and Puff, who previously collaborated in the 2014 Taiwanese drama Pleasantly Surprised, share a number of intimate scenes in their new show, including one where Jasper uses his teeth to adjust the shoulder strap of Puff’s top. Director Fung Kai admitted that he expected Jasper to use his tongue instead, and quipped, “If it were any less sensual, it would look like a dog biting something instead!”
In another scene that’s much less romantic, Steven Sun had to deliver an uppercut to Jasper’s face. However, what was supposed to be a fake punch accidentally hit Jasper’s left cheekbone for real, leaving him with a swollen face for at least a week. “In that moment, I felt like someone had turned the lights off because everything went black,” he recalled. “It was only then that I realised I’d been hit.” Fortunately, the injury was not too serious.
