Before she stepped onto the stage for her performance, Jasmine wrote a heartfelt post on Instagram. “so i've mentally prepped myself to songwrite the last half of my 2018 away in stockholm only to end up spending the last few months on an electronic music show competition in shanghai. It's been a good few months of chugging dumplings and producing music in my mother tongue and i'm finally appearing on the show in a competitive player kill round tomorrow on tencent video. am super excited but also mostly dead inside from not getting enough sleep. i miss home, a lot, (sic)” she mused.

On the programme, she was also asked to remove her visor, but explained, “As a female producer, I hope everyone can focus on my music rather than what I look like, because I believe that my music can express my personality very well." Many are rooting for the rising star to power on through the competition as new episodes will be aired on Tencent Video every Saturday.

Jasmine made her debut in the music scene in 2016 and has played at the Ultra Music Festival 2017 and was the opening act for The Chainsmokers at their Singapore gig.
