Japanese model Rinka made a rare public appearance at a department store in Taipei on May 4 to promote her fashion brand Maison de Reefur in a form-fitting white dress that showed off her slim figure.

The limited pop-up store marks the first time the label has been brought overseas, but Rinka recently announced that she will be closing all its Japanese outlets. “This decision has troubled me for two or three years, and in the end, I made the choice to focus on my family,” she explained.

With Mother’s Day approaching, she shared that her son has given her handmade cards and bracelets in the past. “I’m learning a lot from my son; before I had him, I never imagined I would settle down overseas,” said Rinka, who moved to Hawaii several years ago. “But now, because of him, I’ve even visited countries like Africa! I feel like my life has been enriched because of him.”
