Jaime Teo congratulates ex-husband Daniel Ong on successful proposal
The former radio DJ has popped the question to his girlfriend, whom he went public with nine months ago.

Ex-Mediacorp radio DJ Daniel Ong is taking another shot at marriage, three years after divorcing actress and former beauty queen Jaime Teo in 2016.
Today (Aug 22), the 43-year-old entrepreneur announced that he successfully popped the question to his girlfriend, 33-year-old Art Chamber founder Fay Tan, during a romantic holiday in the Maldives.
“SHE SAID YES!!!” Daniel declared on social media, alongside multiple pictures of the lovebirds (and that massive rock on his fiancée’s ring finger). “Was so damn nervous, trying to hide this moment for the last 2 months.”

He went on to reveal that the proposal was an intimate and low-key affair, with “no cameras, no flash mob”, and no spectators. “Told her how happy she makes me, and how I wanted her to be happy. Gave her my speech that I’ve been rehearsing for a while in my head. Got down on one knee and popped the Q! (...) Came to Maldives a single man, headed back with a [fiancée].”
Among the flood of celebratory comments was one by none other than his ex-wife herself, who wrote, “Congratulations! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness ahead”, garnering praise from other netizens for her class and magnanimity.

Daniel and Jaime tied the knot in 2007, welcomed their daughter Renee in 2010, and had another “baby” when they founded Twelve Cupcakes together in 2011.
On December 31, 2016, both parties shared that they have been officially divorced since August that year, but said that they “will always remain friends” and that their focus will be on giving their daughter “as normal a childhood as possible”.
About a year after the split, Daniel started seeing makeup artist Linda Lee. While it’s unclear when they called it quits (he has since deleted all traces of her from Instagram), he soon found love again with Fay, whom he went Instagram official with in December last year with photos from a trip to the UK.
Fay also has a daughter from a previous relationship, and it looks like the stepsisters-to-be will have no trouble getting along, judging from the heart-warming pictures that Daniel has posted of them playing together.
