This year’s Star Search Top 12 recently reunited to film a short but sweet holiday music video, which also included clips of a few of them - namely Herman Keh, Gini Chang, Zane Lim, Jernelle Oh, Juin Teh, Kiki Lim, Tyler Ten, and Sheryl Ang - at a Mediacorp Cares Christmas tea party with students from the AWWA Special Student Care Centre.

“Besides supporting its artistes in pursuing their dreams in the showbiz scene, The Celebrity Agency also actively encourages them to participate in charitable activities and volunteer work, so as to leverage their star power to shine a spotlight on important societal issues,” a rep shared in a statement. They’re definitely doing it right!

Former US President Barack Obama was in town last week with his wife, former First Lady Michelle Obama, and one of the events he attended was a charity gala, which was hosted by Bobby.

“What a way to end the year work wise. Regardless of your politics, it’s always and honor to meet a President of the United States. Growing up as a kid in Vegas, never thought this would be something that I would experience, but oddly enough living in a country thousands of miles away I do (sic),” gushed the American-born actor-host on Instagram. Now that filming for A Quest to Heal in Hengdian, China has finally wrapped, the actor could make up for the month or so he was away by bringing his son Ethan out to play. The little lad certainly looks like he had a lot of fun at Sentosa!

This is so awkward, but so, so funny. Sharon launched her new online cooking school Ti Yan Academy a few days ago, and her BFF Michelle was one of the guests at the media lunch.

“The one person who will call me in Paris to hear my voice, listen to my problems, solve my issues and laugh at me when I cry. Yesterday [Ti Yan Academy] was launched at a media lunch and my superstar arrived looking chic and beautiful, but stood aside and let me bask in the limelight, showing her support in subtle ways unknown to the public. Her name is MICHELLE CHONG. My rock,” Sharon gushed on Instagram.

That all sounds very beautiful and all… until you realise that she had accidentally tagged “@immichellechiong” (which appears to be a parody account for an NTU assignment) instead of “@immichellechong”, a mistake that did not escape the real Michelle’s attention.

You’d think Singapore’s new fake news law would stop nonsense like this from happening, but nope. Just after returning home from filming A Quest to Heal in Hengdian, Bryan was alerted to this “special report” claiming that he is retiring from showbiz to focus on “his new career path”, which is said to have “big banks terrified”. Okay.

“Have seen fake news as such happening to my fellow colleagues and now my turn liao. please do help me to report if it appears in your feeds and perhaps the platform that these fake news appears might be more stringent about what goes on people’s feed.i mean, come on,Seriously? (sic)” he wrote on Instagram, understandably annoyed. Let’s hope this problem is taken care of soon.

The actor’s 39th birthday isn’t until the 23rd, but his recent annual gathering with his fan club of 14 years (14 years!) Elvinology was a good opportunity for him to kick off the celebrations. After that, he enjoyed a smaller but no less meaningful one with his loved ones at home.

“A rainy day, a [piping] hot bowl of porridge and some good company” sums up the actress’s recent gathering with her fan club, The Paige Connexion. Aside from enjoying yummy dishes from Chew Chor Meng’s porridge stall The Famous Zhou, fans also had the chance to win prizes in a lucky draw, with one particularly lucky member walking away with a handmade bowl from Paige herself.

“The rainy weather is no excuse! It’s #battlemode for Rui En and Chantalle at MuayThai training! (sic)” wrote Rui En’s management company Hype Records alongside a wefie of the Old is Gold co-stars looking fab at the gym (now, now, no need to make the rest of us feel guilty about simply wanting to chill at home in front of the TV…).

As it turns out, they were training for another drama together, in which they will “kick ass together” as two female bodyguards, as Chantalle revealed on Instagram. We can’t wait!

We can’t believe it’s already been two years since Jonghyun passed away. On Wednesday, which marked the second anniversary of his passing, his band mate Key posted several photos of them as well as with the other SHINee members and wrote a short message saying, “I love you, I miss you a lot.”

SM Entertainment’s and SHINee’s official Instagram pages were also updated with their own tribute to Jonghyun, which contained a black-and-white photo of him singing and the caption, “We love you.”

We miss you, Jonghyun! May you continue to rest in peace.

It may not have been the best of years for the Hong Kong actress, but that hasn’t stopped her from getting into the festive spirit and setting up what we must say is one gorgeous Christmas tree at home.

“Each year the ornaments get rearranged. The important ones continue to hang proudly, while some are shed, and new meaningful ones take their place. But all in all, the tree never ceases to light up the room or to give joy to those who see the beauty in it,” she wrote.

The singer is set to welcome her first child with her husband, actor Sunny Wang, soon (her due date is in about two weeks) and quickly arranged to have a lovely maternity photo shoot before she pops. “A woman's body works in amazing ways... This is one of the cutest clips we’ve ever seen of a bunch of people trying to get someone to smile for the camera. The Taiwanese model-actress and her husband Tony Hsieh threw a little celebration for their youngest son Olie and, in this clip, very noisy attempts can be heard to try and get the one-year-old to say “cheese”... to no avail.

However, his unchanging expression, along with his utterly adorable big brother Max and big sister Lucy doing their part and saying “cheese” until they ran out of breath, are even better than picture-perfect grins.

How nice to see that SHINee’s Minho was able to take some time off from his military service to hang out with his pals, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun and TVXQ’s Changmin. The trio met up for a cosy dinner on Thursday, and it looks like poor Leeteuk, Kyuhyun’s band mate and leader, felt left out as he commented with a simple “What”. Maybe next time!

Earlier this week, the 15-year-old daughter of martial arts superstar Donnie Yen shared a few photos from the premiere of his latest movie Ip Man 4 and was clearly overflowing with pride.

On Thursday, the actress-host-director revealed that she had splurged on a new ride for her folks. “My dad has always been frugal, so when his old car’s COE was up, he renewed it for another 10 years. But the car kept breaking down, so for their safety, I insisted on getting them a new car (even though they had said it was a waste of money and that they would prefer that I gave them the cash equivalent),” she wrote. ⁣⁣⁣Talk about spoil market!
