Why!?

Hebe Tien Was Reportedly Offered S$4.8mil To Go On Chinese Variety Show, But She Turned It Down

In a time when jobs are scarce and incomes are threatened, no thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, most folks would probably jump on an offer that promises a very, very fat paycheck.

But not Hebe Tien.

According to Taiwanese media, the team behind Chinese reality talent show Our Song recently invited the S.H.E member to join them as a star mentor on it's second season. And if the reports are to be believed, it sounds like a really tempting deal.

For starters, she would get to shuttle between China (where the show is filmed) and Taiwan (where she is based) via private jet. She would also be paid handsomely for her services and star power — NT$8.5mil (S$396,000) per episode, to be exact, which comes up to a total of NT$102mil (S$4.8mil) for one full season of 12 episodes. Not bad for three months of work.

However, the 37-year-old was said to have turned them down. Twice.
