Hebe Tien is enjoying the self-employed life
The singer considered travelling until she realised how much fans were looking forward to her next album
Hebe Tien attended a promotional event for a brand of Japanese fruit liqueur in Taipei on March 23.
The event also doubled as a mini birthday party for the singer, who turns 36 on March 30. Several fans joined her in trying to decorating a cake on stage, and they sang the birthday song for her as well.
Hebe, who left her long-time label HIM International Music with her S.H.E bandmates last year, said with a chuckle that the best thing about being self-employed is being able to stay at home all day long, and being able to take as much "leave" as she wants. "I worked so hard in the past, but now, I finally know what it means to have a life."
She then shared that she considered travelling abroad for a while, but when she realised how much fans were looking forward to her next album, her plans did not seem possible.
When asked for more details about her new record, Hebe said that she can't guarantee a release date yet because it is still in the pre-production stage, but she promised to work hard and put her best efforts into making it.
