Grasshopper’s Edmond So Accused Of Firing Dance School Employee Unfairly
He maintains that the dismissal was justified.
Just last week, reports of Huang Xiaoming being a model boss by pledging to maintain his staff’s salaries despite losses suffered due to the COVID-19 outbreak made headlines with netizens praising the actor for his generosity.
On the other side of the spectrum, however, there's Cantopop group Grasshopper’s Edmond So who recently incurred the wrath of the public. The 53-year-old, who reportedly owns three menswear shops and four dance schools, is said to have fired four employees for unfair reasons and without any form of compensation.
The news came to light when a person, who claims to be a student at one of Edmond's dance schools, shared that he had purchased a package at one of the schools, only to be notified that he would have to attend lessons at another studio because the said school would be ceasing operations.
