Grace Chan and her twin brother Derek are no stranger to controversy. On January 24, the 29-year-olds stirred up another debate when Grace posted a video of Derek sharing his cooking cheat sheet with her.

First was appetiser, which he simplified by using frozen waffles as the base, and added salted cod roe spread and stir-fried shrimps. For the main course, he heated up Ikea meatballs and added  instant mashed potatoes and garnish. And for dessert, they used the same waffles that were used to make the appetiser, but topped it with strawberry jam and fresh strawberries instead.

Grace went on to thank Derek for “showing [her] how to use delicious and easy to prepare ingredients [and for] teaching [her] how to use safe and non-toxic kitchen products”.

However, netizens were less than happy with the video, blasting the twins for “encouraging people to eat instant food instead of real food”.
