Godfrey Gao’s girlfriend posts touching tribute to late actor

Godfrey Gao’s girlfriend Bella Su has posted a touching tribute to the late Taiwanese actor, calling him “the best gift heaven has given me”.

On December 31, Bella, 23, uploaded a touching post on her Instagram account, where she shared photos of herself with Godfrey.

“You’re the best gift heaven has given me. Thank you for everything that you’ve taught me,” she wrote. “Your love made my life whole. Through our love, we will never be apart.”

One of the photos was taken at a ski resort, while the other was taken in warmer weather, with Godfrey kissing the top of Bella’s head with the sunset in the background.

The couple had been dating for three years and their romance was only revealed after Godfrey collapsed while filming Chinese reality show Chase Me and subsequently passed away. Godfrey’s good friend, Darren Jiang, shared that the 35-year-old had planned to propose on November 28, a day after the shoot was slated to end.

She also thanked those who had sent encouraging messages to her in the past month, adding that they have given her an immense amount of courage to stay strong despite her loss. Bella asked for space and time for her to bring her life back on track.

Godfrey’s funeral was held on December 15, and was attended by his loved ones and fans who wished to say their final goodbyes.
