Earlier last week, it was announced that Hong Kong actor Frankie Lam had been appointed as the vice president of the broadcasting company, ATV.

Following his appointment, it was confirmed that Frankie’s first project will be the finale of ATV’s Miss Asia Pageant.

To show her support, Frankie’s wife, Hong Kong actress Kenix Kwok, as well as their 10-year-old daughter, Tania, showed up at the broadcasting studio. Kenix also took on the role of the chairman of the jury panel for the pageant.

Kenix got her big break in showbiz after becoming a finalist in the 1993 Miss Hong Kong Pageant, joining the industry as an actress after the contest. However, she took a step back from the spotlight after giving birth to Tania, and has not filmed a new project since 2009.

Speaking to reporters at the scene, Kenix expressed that although she was nervous at the thought of stepping out on stage once more, she wanted to show her support for Frankie.

When asked if Frankie would invite her back to star in one of ATV’s dramas, Kenix laughed that the decision did not rest with Frankie. Instead, it was their daughter Tania who would have the final say on whether Kenix will return to acting.

“My daughter is 10 this year and very obedient. We have a good relationship, and I wish to spend more time with her,” Kenix said, adding that her return would depend on the script she’s offered.

The 50-year-old also added that she doesn’t mind returning to film for TVB as well.
