China's TV drama industry has grinded to a halt, no thanks to the worsening Wuhan coronavirus outbreak.

Earlier this week, China’s Hengdian World Studios, where many of your favourite TV dramas like Story of Yanxi Palace were filmed, has issued a notice to announce its indefinite closure.

“Taking into account the severity of the coronavirus and in accordance to government requirements, we will be postponing all filming activities. Shoots are activities which involve many people, and that is likely to contribute to the spread of the virus," read the statement.

To think how just last month, the studios had announced that they were opening up their film sets for people to tour for free.
