Faye Wong’s Daughter Leah Dou Got Slapped By Zhou Xun More Than 6 Times In Her First Movie
The director asked for multiple takes of the scene so that they would get the “most natural” results.
Faye Wong’s daughter Leah Dou is being praised by netizens for her professionalism. A video of the 24-year-old getting slapped by veteran actress Zhou Xun more than six times was uploaded this week, and her determination to do her best has endeared her to the public.
The scene was part of the movie The Eleventh Chapter, which is also Leah’s film debut. It was filmed in 2019 but is only hitting cinemas this month. Leah received the Best Supporting Actress Award at the 2019 Beijing International Film Festival for her performance in this film, but moviegoers have only been able to watch her performance this year as The Eleventh Chapter’s big screen debut was delayed two years.
