Power couple Fan Bingbing and Li Chen went public with their relationship in May 2015 and got engaged last September. Since then, many have been eagerly anticipating wedding news from the pair. However, the happy news has since been overshadowed by Bingbing’s tax evasion scandal, which she has since been fined S$95 million for.
With the dust on the tax evasion scandal seemingly settled, there has been reports that Bingbing and Li Chen have moved on and are in the midst of preparing to tie the knot on February 2, 2019. The report has also claimed that Bingbing will be looking to step out of the spotlight after marriage.
Since the speculation emerged earlier this week, neither Bingbing nor Li Chen has commented on the rumours, which has caused some to believe that there is some truth in the repots.
The insider who leaked the wedding date also claimed that the couple had originally planned to get married at the end of 2018, but have since pushed the date back because Bingbing was unexpectedly embroiled in controversy. The entire saga is said to have caused their plans to be disrupted, which eventually forced them to reschedule.
In related news, Bingbing’s latest movie, Air Strike (also known as Unbreakable Spirit), which was previously reported to have its debut in mainland cinemas on October 26 cancelled, has been screened in North America as per scheduled. However, Bingbing’s screen time has been said to be drastically decreased, with the actress appearing for only nine seconds in the entire film.
