Chinese actress Fan Bingbing has always been known as a skincare junkie, and famously masks twice a day, one in the morning and once at night. Thus, it came as no surprise when the actress announced that she would be launching her own beauty brand, Fan Beauty, with only one item on its roster - a hydrating sheet mask.
Recently, the 37-year-old took to social media to share more about her skincare routine, which totals a whopping 28 steps. Her entire routine is split into day and night, with her daytime routine consisting of 13 different steps, leaving the remaining 15 steps for her nighttime routine.
In the morning, the actress first uses a non-foaming cleanser to cleanse her face, before following up by applying some essence, a youth-activating serum and more essence, before putting on a mask for 20 minutes. After removing the mask, she repeats her essence, serum and more essence steps. Then, she continues with her routine, applying her facial cream, eye cream, sunscreen and finally, some hand lotion.
At night, she starts off by removing her makeup and washing her face with a foaming cleanser, before applying toner. Then, she exfoliates her face, although the actress does make sure to add a note sharing that the frequency depends on her skin condition, and that she does it once every 10 days. Next, she uses essential oils to massage her face, which lasts between 25 to 40 minutes, before applying a facial mask for 20 to 30 minutes.
After that, she continues on by applying essence, a youth-activating serum, another essence, as well as a whitening essence, before continuing on to apply some face cream, eye cream, a sleeping mask, lip balm, a neck cream, and finally, some hand lotion.
Bingbing also shared that if time permits, she tries to stick to her routine of masking twice a day, and that doing a facial mask before she applies her makeup allows her makeup to go on smoothly. She added that this is pretty much a daily routine for her, just like how she usually brushes her teeth and drinks honey water every day when she wakes up.
The actress also revealed some tips and tricks when putting on a face mask, advising her fans to do a mud mask once every 10 to 15 days, and to make sure to remove their sheet masks once it feels dry, as not doing so might cause the dry sheet mask to absorb moisture from their skin instead.
