Taiwanese pop diva Elva Hsiao hasn’t exactly been making headlines for the most flattering or positive reasons lately, so it’s nice to see an uplifting change for once — and on her birthday, no less.

Yesterday (Aug 24), the singer, who turned 41, shared a picture of a massive bouquet of red roses — 1,047 of them, to be exact — that she had received from her boyfriend, model Justin Huang, who is 16 years her junior. Given the fact that her birthday was just a day before Chinese Valentine’s Day this year (therefore giving florists an excuse to jack up their prices), it’s likely that Justin spent a fortune on the flowers.

It looks like it was totally worth it though. Elva seemed absolutely thrilled with her extravagant gift. Wouldn’t you be?
