This time round, netizens seemed to be less critical of his post, which was totally different from how they reacted to Fala Chen, who suffered a deluge of negative comments following a similar post last week.

Amongst the many other comments in support of Edison’s post, Australian photographer Russell James wrote: "Racism is hate trying to find a reason. Unlike so many of the big social problems we face today the frustration of racism is [so] we could solve it by simply choosing not to be. We will get far more done together without it. And have a whole lot more fun and a better world because of it.”

But there were also a number of detractors, who did not agree with Edison. One netizen even compared Edison to his Infernal Affairs co-star-turned-nemesis, Shawn Yue.

“Turns out, you’re no different from Shawn Yue,” the netizen wrote. Shawn has been in mired controversy after his fashion label was accused of supporting the Hongkong pro-independence movement.
