David famously dated Hongkong actress Carol Cheng for 16 years, before breaking up in 2008. After the breakup, David had a number of very public relationships that eventually ended up in splitsville.

In 2013, he was rumoured to be dating his now-wife Rainbow after they were photographed together. However, David only went public with their relationship two years later when he referred to Rainbow as his girlfriend — he called her “Miss Lui” — at a concert.

Rainbow is reportedly the founder of e-commerce platform Fresh To Go, which offers door-to-door delivery for a wide range of food items and dishes. The Hongkong media has dubbed her the “Queen of E-Commerce”, and for good reason. According to reports, the savvy entrepreneur has a net worth of over HK$50mil (S$9mil).

Rainbow, who’s 16 years David's junior, is said to have bonded with the singer over their love of food and exercise. David also shared that he has been making an effort to exercise more in preparation for his solo concert, which will be held at the Hongkong Coliseum in December.
