Daniel Henney Met This Ex-Breeding Dog In Korea, Brought Her Back To The US To Foster Her — And Now He’s Found Her A Forever Home
The dog lover and animal activist was instantly drawn to the pooch as it reminded him of his late golden retriever named Mango.
Ever saw a dog in an animal shelter and wanted to take it home with you? Well, that’s what Korean-American actor Daniel Henney did. Never mind that home is on a different continent.
The pooch is a young golden retriever which Daniel met in Korea while filming Korean reality show Upgrade My Life.
In fact, he has been working for the past few months to bring the pup, whom he's named Rosie, from Korea back to the US where he is based. The actor, best known for his role in US crime drama Criminal Minds, said that Rosie instantly stole his heart as she reminded him of his golden retriever Mango that crossed the rainbow bridge three years ago.

The day finally became a reality and Daniel announced the good news on Instagram on June 21.
According to Daniel, he couldn’t stop thinking about Rosie, who was rescued from a breeding farm. With the help of Korean Dog Sanctuary Rescue, he was finally able to bring her back to the US where he is currently fostering her.
The even better news? He’s even found Rosie a permanent home.
“[I] have found her a forever home with my good friend’s wonderful mother... who she’ll be meeting later this summer. So excited for her new life!” he wrote.

This is not the first pup that Daniel has rescued from Korea.
The dog lover and animal activist has been working with the Humane Society International (HIS) to raise awareness in South Korea on the benefits of dog adoption. Last year, he adopted a young golden retriever Juliette that was rescued from a dog meat farm in Korea. He also has a 10-year-old golden retriever named Roscoe.
