Cyndi Wang sends family on all-expenses-paid trip for Mother's Day
The singer shared that her mum has not been pushing her to get married thanks to her brother
Cyndi Wang attended a promotional event for a skincare brand in Taipei on May 11, where she shared about her extravagant advance Mother’s Day gift for her family.
According to the Taiwanese singer, she sent her mum, uncle, and aunt on a vacation to China for over a week. She took care of all their travel expenses and is estimated to have spent over NT$100,000 (about S$4,400). She also gave her mother skincare products to bring with her on the trip.
Cyndi and her mother share a very close relationship. Even though Cyndi lives in Taipei, she makes frequent trips back to her hometown in Taoyuan so that they can have dinner together. When asked if her mum has been pushing her to get married, she said, “Since my brother has already given her a grandchild, she has not been asking me about it at all. She also thinks I shouldn’t simply rush into marriage as it is more important to find a suitable partner first. Besides, I want to fully concentrate on my career for now.”
At the moment, Cyndi is busy preparing for her upcoming concert tour, which will kick off on June 29, the same day as the Golden Melody Awards. “I’m making sure that my skin, body, and strength will be in tip-top condition for my concerts,” she said, adding that she will be forced to give the Golden Melody Awards a miss even if she is nominated.
