Chinese Actress Liu Xiaoqing, 65, Responds To Talk That A Failed Facelift Left Her With “Deformed Earlobes”

This led to suspicions of a botched facelift, but instead of staying silent, the sassy Xiaoqing, who was one of China’s top actresses in the ‘80s, decided to tackle the gossip head-on (or should we say, “ear-on”?).

Last week, she posted a video of herself saying, “Women in China give up on themselves too early! When you’re over 30, you can’t talk about youth, and when you’re over 40, you can’t talk about beauty.”

Xiaoqing then did an imitation of how some haters react when they see a beautiful woman (“Ah, she had plastic surgery again. Look at that ear!”) and touched her supposedly “deformed” ear, making it extremely obvious that she was responding to the allegations against her.

This isn’t the first time Xiaoqing has directly shot down plastic surgery rumours.

In an earlier interview, she acknowledged that she has often been the subject of such talk ‘cos of her perpetually youthful appearance, but she claimed that she just “can’t get old”.

“A person’s facial features cannot be altered,” she said. “I am already Liu Xiaoqing. If I changed them, my luck would run out, so I definitely cannot change them.”
