Chase Me Host Received Death Threats And Scary Parcels At Home After Godfrey Gao’s Passing
There are netizens who blame him for the actor's death.
When Godfrey Gao died from cardiac arrest after filming Chinese game show Chase Me last November, many people believed that the team behind the show would get into serious trouble, not just with the authorities, but with the late star's fans as well. What people didn't expect was that the show's host, Haman Hu, would end up receiving death threats.
According to reports, netizens were pissed off that the 38-year-old had tried to appease the audience by telling them that Godfrey had “regained consciousness” after the star collapsed on set. And they believe that his actions makes him complicit in the actor's death.
While Haman, who is popularly known as Hua Shao, had mostly kept silent about the accusations and the death threats, he decided to open up about what he's been through when he received two parcels at home on Thursday (Jan 16).
