Hours after Malaysia announced a border closure on Monday (Mar 16) to slow the spread of COVID-19, Hongkong actress Charlene Choi and singer-songwriter Kenny Kwan found themselves frantically packing up and evacuating their hotel in the middle of the night.

They were in Kuala Lumpur filming a new drama, Female Forensic Scientist JD, when the two-week-long travel restriction was announced.
