Brigitte Lin a grandmother-to-be

Taiwanese actress Brigitte Lin, 61, is going to become a grandmother. The screen legend’s step-daughter, Claudine Ying, 28, announced on Instagram that she’s expecting her first child.

“I have always dreamed of becoming a mummy one day!” she wrote on Sunday. “And today, Lloyd (her fiance) and I are happy to announce that we are expecting a baby!”

The daughter of Brigitte’s husband, billionaire former Esprit Holdings chairman Michael Ying, by his first wife, Claudine is reportedly close to Brigitte, whom she praised as “the world’s best stepmother.”

An entrepreneur herself, Claudine founded a learning centre called Bebegarten after graduating from the University of Hong Kong with a degree in education.

She’s known for her love of children, and she’s been with her banker fiance for more than a year, though the couple have no plans at the moment to marry.
