While lovebirds around the world were busy with their candlelight dinners on Valentine’s Day, Taiwanese singer Bii had a very special announcement to make: He’s married.
Officially off the market
He shared the good news on Facebook on February 14, writing: “After my previous relationship ended, I want to thank God for letting me meet someone that I feel I can spend the rest of my life with. She has completely changed my life and has let me be who I am today and live happily every day. I want to hold her hand tightly and walk towards the next stage of our lives together (…) Today I want to announce to everyone that we’re married.” The post was accompanied of him holding hands with a mystery lady.
The news came as a shock to fans as the 30-year-old broke up with his girlfriend, Jessie, only last August. He dated her for eight years, but only went public with the relationship last May. He did not elaborate on the reason behind their breakup.
It's said that he dated his wife for eight months before they tied the knot, but no other details about the lucky lady have been made available at press time.
His agency has also confirmed the news: “It’s touching to see how the kid that couldn’t speak Chinese well has changed. He’s doing well in his career, has started a family, and he has also bought a home in Taiwan. The company is very happy for him and we give him our blessings.”
Netizens have congratulated him on the good news, with one writing, “With the current bleak state of affairs now due to the virus outbreak, it’s a breath of fresh air to learn of good news like this.”
Many of the people who commented were also curious to know who Bii’s wife is, and some wondered if they decided to tie the knot because they have a baby on the way.
