The late Alien Huang’s label Rock Records have confirmed the date and time of his upcoming memorial concert. In a Facebook post yesterday (Sep 23), they revealed that it will be held on October 6 at Legacy Taipei and is expected to start at 7pm.

The event will be hosted by Alien’s Mr. Player co-hosts Jacky Wu and Kid Lin, and some of his good friends will be invited to share a word, song, or video to show different sides of Alien’s life story to the public. Fans from all over the world can also tune in as the showcase will be live-streamed online, although the exact details of that have yet to be confirmed.

Also TBC is how fans in Taiwan will be able to score an invitation to gain entry to the physical concert itself, although one thing’s for sure: tickets will not be for sale and it’s all thanks to scalpers, who for some unthinkable reason have decided it was a good idea to take advantage of people wanting to remember a star after his death.

In a “special reminder” at the end of their announcement, Rock Records added, “There are no tickets for this concert, so we urge fans not to simply listen to anyone selling them online. Do not be deceived!”
