A production worker was rushed to hospital last Friday (November 16), after getting into an accident while working on the upcoming racing car flick, Sky Fire (unconfirmed title). The movie is produced by Taiwanese multi-hyphenate Jay Chou, and stars his wife, Taiwanese model-actress Hannah Quinlivan.

A statement was released shortly after the news broke, with the representative, Tina, sharing more about the accident.

She revealed that they were filming a rain scene in the afternoon, and that a male venue staff member in his 30s to 40s had fallen down while following the movements of the sprinkler truck. He had hit his head during the fall, and seemed to suffer from memory loss, thus, he was immediately rushed to the hospital by the medical crew on-site. The staff member is currently receiving treatment in the hospital.

“As he hit his head, he will need to be placed under observation for two to three weeks, but the doctor has confirmed that his condition has stabilised. The producer and executive producer are at the hospital with him, while the rest of the crew focuses on filming. We expect to wrap up filming within these few days,” Tina shared. She also added that they will assist with the staff member’s care after his discharge from hospital.

This is not the first accident that has occurred on-set for Sky Fire. Before this, Hannah’s stunt double fractured her wrist in a car crash scene as well.
