Aaron Kwok, Jennifer Yu and director Mamoru Hosoda attended the opening ceremony for the Summer International Film Festival 2018 on August 18.

Aaron had grown a beard for his new film, which tells the stories of people at the bottom of Hong Kong society. "It's a character I've never played before, so I decided to take the role as soon as I read the script," he said. When asked about how much he's being paid for his work, he said, "I'm an actor, I care about the character, not the pay."

His daughter will turn a year old next month, and his company will give him one day off to celebrate. "I'm thankful to the company for my day off. Although I have such a busy schedule, they understand that I still need time off to have a meal with my family to celebrate this special occasion."
