'80s Hongkong Idol Max Mok’s Estranged 18-Year-Old Son Is Trying To Be A Star

He didn't get into the industry 'cos of his father, that's for sure.

Back in the late ’80s and ’90s, Hongkong actor-singer Max Mok, who was sometimes credited as Benny Mok, was one of Asia’s biggest stars. The now 55-year-old wasn’t just a pretty boy with a body that was fitspo way before fitspo was even a thing. He had talent too and was in the era’s biggest movies like The Last Eunuch in China, which bagged him a Golden Horse Best Actor nomination, and the Wong Fei Hung Once Upon A Time In China series. His future was bright, until it wasn’t. Some say it had to do with the overwhelming amount of bad press he had received after his ill-fated relationship with former Hongkong actress Catherine Hung Yan.
