4 Celeb Couples We Hope Will Never Break Up

But the couple recently announced through Chris’s Facebook that they’re "legally separating" after eight years of marriage. To say we’re shocked, not to mention disappointed, would be like saying Groot is just a tree. After all, the pair was one of Hollywood’s most envy-inducing couples, thanks to their regular sweet-as-honey posts about each other on social media.
Who can forget that pic of Chris braiding Anna’s hair and the one of the couple with their four-year-old son Jack watching TV? But now that they’ve gone their separate ways, how are we supposed to believe in true love anymore? Which is why we’re really rooting for these celeb couples.

They’ve been married for... Almost a year.

How they met: It was love at first sight for Stephen on the set of 1997’s Bishonen, a gay romance starring the couple and Daniel Wu. "I already had good feelings for her then," Stephen said. "Shu Qi is someone who doesn’t hide how she feels. When I first met her, I took the initiative and asked for her number."

Why they can’t break up: ’Cos they’ve been through so much! After 20 years of friendship, four years of courtship and multiple failed relationships (Shu Qi reportedly turned to drinking after breaking up with Leon Lai), they finally tied the knot last September in Prague. Rumours recently surfaced that Stephen and Shu Qi had split, but fortunately, the couple put those allegations to rest when Stephen admitted to feeling "happy" when he looks at his wedding ring, while Shu Qi posted a blissful Insta post of the couple celebrating Stephen’s birthday. Yay!

How they met: At a karaoke session in 2009.

Why they can’t break up: For a start, their wedding cost US$31 mil (S$42 mil). And the couple who has been dubbed China’s Brangelina (though that’s not really a good thing anymore) are also philanthropists. For the wedding, Xiaoming invited 527 disabled children from various charities to be a part of their reception, and announced the setting up of the couple's foundation, Guan Ai Bao Bei (which means ‘Caring for Baby’ in Mandarin). The couple also donated $3.6 mil to a charity in 2016. They sure deserve a happily-ever-after.

How they met: This delicious-looking couple met on the set of 2011’s Green Lantern. At that time, Ryan was married to Scarlett Johansson, while Blake was dating her Gossip Girl co-star, Penn Badgley. But the Lantern worked its magic, and they got hitched a year later. Can we say their union is the best thing to come out of the horrid movie?

Why they can’t break up: ’Cos they’re Hollywood’s last standing golden couple, especially since Brangelina, Bennifer, and now Chrisanna are no more.

How they met: They played lovers on ’90s sitcom That ’70s Show. They then remained close friends for more than a decade before taking the relationship one step further in 2014.

Why they can’t break up: Because Ashton is goofy, Mila is bubbly, and together they are a real doozy. So much so that they started out as friends with benefits. "We shook hands and we’re like, ‘Let’s just have fun!’ We literally just had a very open conversation." How cool is that?
