Surprise! Xu Bin Announces Birth Of Second Child, A Daughter

We’d say this is a surprise, but then we remembered that Xu Bin is someone who likes to casually spring big announcements on his socials. Remember when he dropped the bomb about his engagement to Wang Yifei back in 2017?

At about 6pm today (Mar 12), the 32-year-old actor posted a photo of himself cradling a baby on his Instagram, and no, it isn’t a #throwback pic of him with his two-year-old son Ethan.

“I would like to share some good news with everyone,” he wrote in the caption. “A new member has been added to our family, and we have been given a daughter. Being pregnant for ten months was not easy, and both mother and daughter are safe.”

Yes, Ethan has a little sister now.

The reason this comes as a surprise is ‘cos neither Xu Bin nor Yifei even announced that they were expecting a second kid. Their friends, on the other hand, seemed to know about it all along.

“I’ve been looking forward to her arrival, finally! I’m so happy for you all!” gushed Xu Bin’s My Star Bride co-star Chantalle Ng in a comment. Kimberly Chia, Lawrence Wong, Chen Xiuhuan, and Dennis Chew were also among those who left comments congratulating the father-of-two.
