Becoming a parent brings with it loads of changes and challenges, and it’s even tougher now, ‘cos of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Even when there’s no lockdown (or um, Phase 2 (Heightened Alert), there's still reduced slots for enrichment activities, being unable to travel for leisure with their kids, and of course, ensuring that their little one is protected from the virus at all times.

And first-time mum Sheila Sim, knows just how it feels.

The 36-year-old gave birth to her daughter, Layla, in September last year, in the middle of the pandemic.

And now, eight months on, there still does not seem to be an end in sight for the pandemic. On May 17, Sheila took to her Instagram to muse about raising a “COVID baby”, which essentially refers to babies born during the pandemic.
