Masi Oka recalls his favourite TV and Movie Roles, from Heroes to The Meg.

The last time 8 DAYS spoke to Masi Oka was in 2011 when he had just gotten a promotion on Hawaii Five-O. As Chief Medical Examiner Max Bergman (“I get to play the first Asian Jew on TV”, he said then), Oka was first a recurring actor in Season 1, and then a series regular starting in Season 2. He left the cop show two years ago and was next seen on the Amazon Prime Original dramedy Mozart in the Jungle. Outside of acting, Oka has done some producing (the Netflix remake of the J-scare-fest Death Note) and sidelined as a consultant for Japanese companies — including the Japanese government — on showbiz matters. Today, we’re speaking to Oka as an actor and here he talks about some of his favourite TV and movie roles, including his latest, The Meg.
