Live streaming’s the in-thing now, with so many celebs, like Ada Choi and Fan Bingbing hopping onto the band wagon.

Locally, there are stars like Wang LeiPornsak and Michelle Chia, who started live stream company Mdada with celebrity hairstylist Addy Lee to sell products on Facebook Live.

Now, Julie Tan, 28, is getting in on the fun too. But instead of selling beauty products online, Julie’s live streaming her gaming sessions.

Julie first started broadcasting her games on live streaming platform Twitch in January, and has quickly amassed a loyal following.

The actress, who goes by Julavender on Twitch, now has over 2000 followers on the platform. Not bad considering she's only been live streaming for six months. Her streams usually amass over a thousand views, and range in duration, from an hour to eight.

Julie, who mostly streams the massively popular mobile game, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, has also tried her hand at playing a number of horror games, including Dead by Daylight and Resident Evil.
