Zhenhuan, who's currently in Singapore, and Sally, who's in China, weren't able to spend Valentine's Day together.

Sally, who is clearly feeling a little love sick, wrote on her Instagram: "How I wish I could close the distance between us and give you a hug, instead of hugging my phone and telling you that I miss you."

She then ended her post with, "Everyone has become Zhi Nu and Niu Lang because of the pandemic".

In case you don't know, Zhi Nu and Niu Lang aka the Weaver Girl and the Cowherd were star-crossed lovers in Chinese folklore who could only reunite on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month once a year. Their love story is the inspiration behind Chinese Valentine's Day.

The 27-year-old singer wrote a love letter to her music producer fiancé Cheong Waii Hoong: "To my dear Waiihoong, a month ago, you asked me to marry you. I never imagined that two university students who met because of music would become friends, lovers, and soon-to-be family."

"Thank you for tolerating me and always telling me that you'll be by my side (…) I won't be afraid as long as I face the world with you. Thank you for being my first love. Thank you for allowing me to be lucky enough to meet my soulmate and never having to look for you again. So thank you, I love you, and yes I will."

The Singaporeans were based in Taiwan but are said to have recently returned home. Hui Lu represented Singapore in Taiwanese singing contest Million Star in 2012, and Waii Hoong is the founder of music production company Reason Brothers in Taiwan along with fellow Singaporean singer Kenny Khoo.

Valentine's Day doesn't have to be about showing your love for someone else. Just learn from Carrie, who reminded her followers that everyone also has to find the "100 ways to love yourself".

The actress was last known to be dating Taiwanese model Boris Lin, though rumour has it that they broke up last year. While Carrie has yet to comment on her relationship status, Boris made headlines last December when he was spotted spending the night at Taiwanese actress Lorene Jen's house. Lorene is the sister of S.H.E member Selina Jen.

Kewei recounted, "We dated for about 10 years before getting married… my type was tall, lanky, boyish and of course I married the complete opposite. It’s like I was team Vampire ended up with the Werewolf."

"I never exercised but he’s a national sprinter turned coach. I’m nerdy & he’s street smart. He’s a great cook & I absolutely suck. I edit all his IG captions and am his grammar police. Sharon's lunar birthday happens to fall on the same day as Chinese Valentine's Day, and the 46-year-old shared her wish that her followers will support the #cancelcancer movement by buying a tee like the one she's wearing.

"Please buy one T-shirt so that the National Cancer Centre Singapore could pay for essential equipment to treat cancer patients. And one T-shirt could also pay for a patient to receive a consultation with a cancer specialist."

"It's difficult for couples to see each other often because of the pandemic, but true love will prevail and I hope for the best for all lovers around the world," wrote Shinan, whose post was accompanied by a picture of him and wife Pan Lingling sharing a kiss. "In these times, I hope everyone looks after their health."

Tracy, who lost her husband in 2019, posted this humbling reminder that one can pursue happiness even without someone by your side.

"It doesn't matter if you have a lover; what's more important is that you're happy and have your freedom," she said. "I imagine myself standing on a high place and looking down at beautiful scenery."
