James Seah Replaces Shane Pow In Upcoming Long-Form Drama The Heartland Hero, Which The Latter Has Already Started Filming
James Seah will be taking over Shane Pow’s role in upcoming Mediacorp long-form drama The Heartland Hero after the latter parts ways with the company following his recent drink driving charge.

In a Zoom interview with 8days.sg this morning (Apr 28), the show’s executive producer Leong Lye Lin revealed that Shane, 30, will complete filming until episode 31 of the 130-episode series. James, also 30, was also on the call and is slated to join the production in the second week of May if all goes smoothly.

Shane’s character in Heartland Hero was described as a “cute and happy” ah beng who has just been released from jail and is encouraged to turn over a new leaf by his older brother, played by Elvin Ng.

Lye Lin reassured us that this slight — and potentially sensitive — parallel to Shane’s own current ongoing legal woes is purely a coincidence (after all, the actor did not even inform the company about his mishap when it happened in September last year).
