The actor took us all by surprise when he made the sudden and totally unexpected announcement about the arrival of his second child (he never revealed that his wife Wang Yifei was even pregnant, by the way).

“I would like to share some good news with everyone: A new member has been added to our family, and we have been given a daughter,” he revealed on Instagram on Friday evening, along with a few super sweet photos of him with his wife, newborn baby girl, and two-year-old son Ethan.

A few days after posting some gorgeous photos from her maternity shoot, the actress announced the arrival of her second child, another daughter we know only as “EL”.

Constance also has a three-year-old girl named Olethea (actually, she turns four in May), but she’s managed to somehow keep the identity of her baby daddy under wraps (we don’t even know if she’s married to him or not).

Also with happy baby news to share was the DJ-turned-steakhouse towkay, who announced that his wife, art teacher Fay Tan, is 16 weeks pregnant with their first child together (they also each have a daughter from previous relationships).

Taking to Instagram to share two photos of them showing off the ultrasound pictures, Daniel admitted that the “past few months have been tough” and that they were “praying [non-stop] for the health” of their unborn son (yup, it’s a boy).

Fortunately, after all those “tests, invasive procedures, lotsa worrying and more”, he confirmed that “baby is good”. Yay!

When the Star Awards 2021 Top 60 Most Popular Artistes were revealed earlier this week, we noticed a glaring absence of several names, including Thomas.

Well, it looks like there was a reason behind that. On Thursday, the actor explained in an Instagram post that he had actually received a call notifying him that he had gotten into the Top 60. However: “I wanted to watch the show quietly as an ordinary audience member, so I withdrew from the competition.”

Someone who will be vying for the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artistes title — and for the very first time, at that — is Chen Yixi. Dad Edmund took to Instagram to share the news and this adorable #throwback photo of a little Yixi being his date to the Star Awards in the past.

“I am very grateful to the station for giving him the opportunity to learn and complete several works,” wrote the proud papa. “And thank you to all our dear friends for the support and encouragement. I hope everyone can continue to give him this much support this time.”

Nurul penned not one, not two, not three, but four very long posts paying tribute to a whole bunch of people a couple of days after picking up her fifth Most Popular Female Personality award at Pesta Perdana 2021. Well, she couldn’t do it in her acceptance speech, right?

After thanking her family (including her in-laws), the mother-of-three went on to thank her friends, colleagues, fans, fellow nominees, the other winners, and the team that helped her look like a million bucks that night. You know what they say: Gratitude is the best attitude.

You know you’ve got a really posh house when a fellow successful celeb can’t stop going crazy over how awesome it is. That’s what happened when Jackson joined JJ’s Instagram Live stream and spotted the latter’s extremely spacious living room in the background. Seriously, it’s so big that JJ could divide it into two areas and use a different one for work and play.

“I think people are gonna get lost when they go to your house,” Jackson quipped. “You enter and you don’t know how to exit.”

Hey, if we made over S$14mil a year and were dubbed a ‘Walking Money Printer’, we’d want a pad like that too.

Her megawatt smile and sunshine-yellow dress made us think this would be a cheery post, but boy were we wrong: Jaime was actually explaining her side of the story in the Twelve Cupcakes controversy, where she was fined S$65,000 for underpaying foreign workers.

In a nutshell, she claimed that she “only learnt of what was going on when investigations started”, and that as far as she knew, they “paid all [their] employees what was agreed with them”. She also apologised for her negligence and admitted that “the abusive comments and being misunderstood have been hard to bear”.

Le Cordon Bleu-trained Jeanette is planning to open her own pastry shop in “April or May” and it looks like preparations are well under way. She shared a short clip of herself personally checking out enormous marble slabs, which we presume will be used for the interior design.

According to Jeanette’s PA, the actress has been handling “every single thing about the shop” herself, including ‘mundane’ things like the licence submissions and payment terminals. We can’t wait to see how everything turns out!

Ouch! Let this be a lesson for us who have the bad habit of walking while looking at our phones: All Kate did was reply to a text message, and in two seconds, she fell into a drain and ended up with the most gruesome injury on her leg (those with iron stomachs may feel free to take a look at the photo on her page or in our earlier article, ‘cos we certainly aren’t putting it here).

The wound was so severe that doctors told her that she needed surgery to get three layers of stitches as the bone was exposed (yikes!) and there was even “a chunk of dead flesh”. To make matters worse, this happened a day before her 38th birthday, so she had to have her celebration in the hospital.

Wishing Kate a speedy recovery, and may this never happen to any of us.

The comedian and The Noose star’s 15-minute digital production, called A Man Waiting for the Leaves to Fall, is described as a performance that “chronicles the pivotal events in a man’s life” and “examines themes surrounding broken and lost communication and the societal gaps caused by modern society’s rapid evolution that force generations and social tribes apart”.
