The October babies (Terence's birthday falls on October 6, while Jeffrey and Shane's fall on October 3 and October 4 respectively) met up for a birthday meal with fellow actors Edwin Goh and Zhang Yaodong.

Apart from loads of cake (we spy one for each birthday boy), the actors were also greeted by a ton of raw ginger, which served as the backdrop for the traditional longevity buns that was presented to them.

But Benjamin might not vote for himself, though. According to a comment the 30-year-old left on his post, he "might vote [Agnez Mo]" instead 'cos he was the administrator of "a stan tumblr (a fan blog of sorts, for those not in the know) some time ago".

The couple, who tied the knot in 2007, celebrated their 13 wedding anniversary with this super sweet and introspective post from Priscelia. The primary school classmates celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary on October 5 and Fauzie posted this super sweet caption: "Today we celebrate our 7th year together doing things our way. According to the actor, Danish will be heading to Japan soon for college. And yes, he'll be there for three years. 

"No matter where you go and what you do be true to yourself. That’s one thing nobody can take away from you. Daddy n Mummy, Dwi & Dahlia will always be there to back you up and support you," Aaron wrote in his caption.

Constance updated her Instagram earlier this week with a heartbreaking piece of news: her beloved golden retriever Murphy had passed on.

"Thank you for being part of my life although is such a short time. I only have you for 6 years . You’ve been such a wonderful boy and a warrior. Never wanted to show your pain and hide all your sorrow to yourself. The love you have for me is more than the universe. Run free Murphy. Mama want to see u happy ... goodbye my love, till we meet again," she wrote. 

The actress shared in a later post that she had dreamt of Murphy being served lollipops by the staff in a restaurant "like a VIP" a few days later.  

On October 7, Hongkong singer-actress Sammi Cheng shared an equally heartbreaking piece of news —her beloved Lucky, who'd been by her side for the past 15 years, had passed away.

"Being mentally prepared that he would leave one day did nothing to reduce the pain of saying goodbye,” read a small part of the lengthy tribute Sammi had penned for Lucky. “Now, I will think on the bright side. He is no longer suffering and is finally free.”

The legendary musician and founding member of rock band Van Halen passed away on Tuesday (Oct 6) following a “long and arduous battle” with tongue cancer, according to the musician's son.

Among the many celebs who paid tribute to the rocker was Taiwanese singer-songwriter Wang Leehom, who snapped a quick selfie of his rooftop goodbye.

"Bahamut wanted to go to the rooftop and say bye to [Eddie Van Halen]," wrote Leehom.
