The last we spoke to the former actress, who had jetted back from Paris to vote in the elections and spend time with her mother, she was awaiting the results of her first swab test. On July 18, she shared an update on her Instagram, revealing that the test came back negative, which means she only has a few days of quarantine left, which she's serving in MBS.

The petite actress, whose height is listed as 1.6m on her profile, shared on IG that there’s been an increase in comments from well-meaning fans asking her to eat more as they think that she’s too skinny.

Hong Ling went on to share that her slight frame is the result of a balanced diet of healthy fats as well as protein, fruits, vegetables and carbohydrates. She also included a picture of her at her heaviest, 10 years ago.

"I used to have fast food and bubble tea 100% sugar every single day and I hated to exercise. I was 54kg at my heaviest,” she wrote, adding that a regular exercise routine was the most important factor in her weight loss.

"I do have unhealthy cravings too, but I never ignore it because food is my life. So in short, I'm happy with my body!  I workout and eat healthy BECAUSE I want to be healthy, strong and toned NOT because [I want] to be skinny," she declared.

Titled 'Everything I Am', the song pays homage to all the everyday Singaporeans who joined in the fight against COVID-19.

"Proud to be part of a very special National Day Parade this year, singing the theme song “Everything I Am”. A song of gratitude, for the people who make this country. Here’s to you,” Nathan wrote in his caption announcing the good news.

However, on July 18, the singer took to his socials again, this time, to defend himself against the online trolls who felt that Nathan shouldn’t have been chosen ‘cos he’s “not Singaporean”.

“I’m proud to be a first generation Singaporean. I was born as a Permanent Resident, and raised here by parents who immigrated to this country. After serving two years of National Service, I was finally able to get a Singaporean citizenship. I’ve never known any other place as home. And I am thankful for everything this land has given me. Love to you all,” he wrote.

Take that, trolls.

The actor’s gorgeous cat, Rakshaan, sadly passed away last week. In his caption, Ping Hui paid tribute to his pet, which the actor said was "magnificently handsome, moved with a princely charm, selective of whom you bestow your affection but yet we became friends on our first meeting.”

RIP, Rakshaan.
