“I don’t have to buy new clothes for CNY. I’m fine wearing old stuff. I’m filming every day now and I don’t have the time. Plus, I hate jostling with the crowds. Of course, I try to avoid wearing black. And since red is my favourite colour, everything works out just fine! Sometimes, we have a reunion lunch because my sister’s married and she has to go to her in-laws’ place for dinner. My mum cooks a few dishes, but she’ll order the rest from restaurants."

"Of course I’m still happy to receive ang pows! I spend it on things like food. That said, I think it’s more a gesture of well wishes. My parents give me a really big one each year, and ever since I started working, I also give them one every year. It’s nice that I’ve been able to. There’s very little visiting for me because most of my relatives are overseas, but I think visiting can be quite fun. You hang around, talk, and play with the kids. A must for me is to spend the first day of the Chinese New Year with my family. A lot of people go out with their friends after they go visiting in the morning. But I’m quite a homebody; I like to stay at home.”
