What she ate: Surprise anniversary cake

Yummy factor: Although hubby Qi Yuwu couldn’t celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary in person with Joanne in Singapore, he made special arrangements for their mutual friends to deliver a special creation baked by Anthony P Supangat — the same baker behind her birthday cake (yes, the same cake that moved her to tears). We love how the cake boasts several layers of unique but complementary flavours — think hojicha ganache, honey cake sponge and lemon meringue. Plus, aren’t the heart-shaped macarons absolutely gorgeous?

What she ate: “Flying” somen

Yummy factor: Whether noods that seemingly float in mid-air are still on-trend or not, mummy-of-two Kewei’s bowl of somen topped with sakura ebi still looks like it’ll be a satisfying meal with the bowl of dipping sauce.

What he ate: A cheat meal

Yummy factor: Zetong treated himself to a cheat meal in the name of self love and his indulgent treat of choice was a juicy beef burger — piled high with ingredients like sliced beetroot, cheddar and a fried sunny side up — and sweet potato fries from Mo & Jo Sourdough Burgers.

What he ate: Steak and fries

Yummy factor: Dinner at L'Entrecôte was a satisfyingly decadent affair for Pierre and Andrea — aside from juicy steak and (a mountain of) fries, they had plenty to share with their loved ones, like baked escargots, and fluffy bread to go with their charcuterie and cheese platters.

What she ate: Nasi lemak

Yummy factor: As it turns out, Michelle isn’t always living it up with champagne and supper in bed. Sometimes, she has hawker fare like nasi lemak too, and fried chicken wings and sambal chilli from Punggol Nasi Lemak are always welcomed.

What she ate: Sourdough doughnuts

Yummy factor: A cross between sourdough bread and Italian “bomb”-shaped doughnuts, these sourdough bombolinis from online bakery Sourbombe by MasterChef Singapore runner-up Gen Lee, were a real hit with Cheryl and her son Marc. And with flavours like Lavender-Lime Mascarpone and nostalgic Peanut Butter and Jelly, we’re not surprised it’s a hit with kiddos and adults alike. 

What she ate: Doughnuts 

Yummy factor: As sweet as ever, Rui En’s fan club RBKD sent over sugar-coated doughnuts as snacks for their idol and the rest of the cast filming on the set of upcoming Ch 8 supernatural fantasy drama, Mister Flower. Of course, Rui En had to post with one of the fluffy treats.

What she ate: “Soiled” diaper

Yummy factor: Mum-to-be Sheila was surprised with a baby shower celebration by her best girlfriends, and boy did she have a fun time. The doughnut-themed party saw them enjoying mini doughnuts, scones, sandwiches and more — the humorous ladies even prepared a “soiled” diaper (for Sheila’s sake, we hope the brown stuff tastes better than it looks) to prep Sheila for the days ahead!

What they ate: Omakase lunch at Yoyogi

Yummy factor: From yummy angel hair pasta with sweet sakura ebi to ohmi beef rice and amberjack sashimi served with aromatic truffle, Xiuhuan made sure she played host well to former local singer Stella, who’s currently back in Singapore to visit. 

What she ate: Cotton candy desserts

Yummy factor: Yvonne took a break from baking and visited Taiwanese cafe CHUJU in Tainan for her fix of sweets instead. From beverages adorned with mini marshmallow and teddies to waffles and pizza served under 3D cotton candy structures in the shape of animals, it was definitely a sugary-sweet affair!

What she ate: Claypot noodles

Yummy factor: One tip Jade has picked up from her dad is to only trust stalls that serve their claypot dishes piping hot, like the noodles she had. In fact, the dish was served so hot that the raw egg on her noodles was cooked in a matter of swirls. And as if that wasn’t filling enough, Jade had toast and soft-boiled eggs after. Where does all the food go?

What he ate: Grain bowl

Yummy factor: Romeo started his day on the right note with a strong cuppa and hearty grain bowl with plenty of meat and an onsen egg. Well, we’d order in and have brunch at our balcony too, if we had a crib as nice as Romeo’s new bachelor pad!

What she ate: Hakka abacus seeds and pig’s trotter in vinegar

Yummy factor: Thanks to her friend's mum, Yifeng learned how to cook two classic dishes from scratch — Hakka-style abacus seeds, as well as tender pig’s trotter in vinegar. The best part? She even got to tapow the goodies home! Let's see if her own interpretations of the dishes will turn out just as delish.

What she ate: Brunch fare

Yummy factor: The way to Julie’s heart is through her stomach — with amazing brunch fare. It probably takes quite a fair bit for a restaurateur to be impressed, so the dish she ordered (looks like croque madame) must’ve been pretty delish.

What he ate: Gingerbread man

Yummy factor: Christmas may be months away, but that hasn’t stopped Ping Hui from devouring his yummy gingerbread man cookie and documenting the process... Limb by limb. That turned sinister real quick!

What she ate: Lobster pasta

Yummy factor: If at first glance you assumed that the lobster pasta was from a restaurant, you’re not alone. Cooked to perfection with garlic butter and dill by Eelyn, the whole Boston lobster is served atop a delicious bed of pappardelle. Impressive!

What she ate: Oysters and champagne

Yummy factor: Making dinner plans for the weekend? Get inspired by Fiona’s decadent meal at The Oyster Bank, where she indulged in fresh oysters topped with mentaiko, aburi sushi and a luxurious cheese platter. Of course, champagne is a must.

What she ate: Chiffon cake inspired by Little Twin Stars

Yummy factor: Just about the cutest fluffy rainbow appeared after the rain for Fann, who made her very own pastel-hued Little Twin Stars chiffon cake — a sure perk-me-up despite the gloomy weather and blue-dyed fingers.

Yummy factor: Desmond whipped up cafe-worthy brunch at home, and we’re loving the hearty heap on his plate. Think thick grilled sausages, fried hash browns, and creamy scrambled eggs. Desmond even took the time to slice up and arrange his avocados, cucumber and tomatoes proper — talk about attention to detail.

What she ate: Chocolate cake

Yummy factor: What better way to perk yourself up while getting work done on a quiet afternoon, than enjoying a slice of chocolate cake and cuppa at the same time like Sora?
